I typed this post up last night and then didn't post! So pretend you are reading this yesterday. I will put in ETAs where necessary. Sorry for sucking at this journal thing, 9 years in. Ahem

Not 2 minutes before I read your post, someone sent me this link to a virtual S3 of SN. I've not even started to look at it, as it's well past my bedtime, even if tomorrow (today) is a holiday!
I can absolutely see the sense behind it, knowing what I know about the US military! It'll just be a little strange to see it happen, when it does, (if it does), I imagine.
Eee, Les Mis! I think it actually works better on a small stage--so many of the songs are solos and duets, and so much of what's good is the small character moments--and really it's only a minor revolution that they're talking about. :D I saw it in the round (professional company) and I think it was my favorite theatre experience ever.
And that's really fascinating about differences in the military codes of behavior. Please do let is know how it goes. :D
I love it too, and the solos defintely worked well on a small stage; however, watching youtube videos of the Broadway production (especially that fancy 25th anniversary event that had like a million people on stage) sure reminds you of what a powerful impact a large cast and setting, and even a large number of voices in the choir, can add.
Oh, Ryan Ross. ♥ It's been a while since I've been so ridiculously charmed by him.
Loved your tale from the city - sounds like some interesting characters there!
I'm always fascinated by the vast differences in the military - not only between countries, but within the same country or branch even. Hopefully you'll get to experience & share some of it with us.

That rubs me wrong, for some reason.
Sounds like overall you've had a good time! Hurray!

Ryro <3 Having heard your story about rooting for LA, it makes absolute sense to me that he roots for them too, not just because he lives there now.
