--Holy shit, House. I kind of stopped watching the show sometime in season 7, only catching a sporadic episode here and there, but I just watched the premiere of season 8 and okay, first of all holy plot twist, Batman! but secondly -- I just really enjoyed the episode. And also Hugh Laurie's hair <333. So that was... kind of awesome

It just feels like all the time because Shore likes to screw with their friendship so often.

Last night's show was shockingly good. It might not have surprised me so much, had I not been so fed up with the crap we got last season, but whatever -- I truly enjoyed it and so, it seems, did the great majority of fans. Hope they keep it up.

Remember in Season 1 when Wilson packs up his little box and prepares to quit and then House comes in and says something to the effect of "I need you"? I count that.

It was really good. But then I realized that I also thought the ep where he's in the mental hospital is fantastic. So maybe I just need House to be locked up to enjoy the show (or away from everyone at the hospital).

Yes! That is precisely what I'm suspicious of - I was so encouraged by "Broken" and how the immediate episodes afterwards seemed to truly be following through on the promise to change House, but that season ended up being such a colossal, nasty letdown. Who's to say they won't do the same thing again?
