Jess *Merriweather*. Jess Jess Jess.

Please feel free to discuss with me any of the following:

1. MCR's new song trailer.

2. Brendon Urie's freakish bowling skills.

3. Friday Night Lights episode 5x02. My reaction to that was just going to be "Oh, Jess," and it still is, multiplied by a million, but it's also ( spoilers for 5x02, apparently I wanted to ramble. )

1. How about I had no idea they even did song trailers? I'm soooo looking forward to being back in the real world.

2. Wow. I will say bowling is a pretty popular activity with the Mormon crowd in Vegas so perhaps he had a lot of time to practice back in the day...

1. I did not either! But MCR ave started it with this album, at least :-) They had this trailer up a month ago before they released the first song of the new album -- there was a lot of squeeing let me tell you -- and it was later extended when they released the full music video, so I assume at some point they'll release a full music video for this song as well.

2. THIS IS WHY YOU ARE MY FAVORITE NEW BANDOM PERSON :D

NOT ONLY. Just... also! WHY MUST THINGS BE EITHER/OR. Besides, you're not even approximate now! Right? (Or maybe you are, it's hard to keep track.)

Anyway dude, I'm totally imagining that you were Spencer Smith's neighbor growing up, don't disillusion me.

Vince and Jess, Vince and Jess, Vince and Jess. Sorry, I thought Vince and Jess were super cute. I basically agree with all of this, and would like to second Mindy Colette become a surprisingly awesome parent and not know wtf is up with that. (BUT ALSO BECKS AND LUKE. He traded his pig.)

As for college, in America it is very much a rite of passage growing up thing. However, Julie's TA is just a creepy creeper creep pants, and I'm really tired of Julie's main arc every season being tied to a guy. Bleh. I don't know if you've seen the promo, but dnw creepy gross TA to stick around.

You do not need to apologize! I thought Vince and Jess were adorable omg, and the puking scene, my heart. And I love how indulgent she was of him wanting a rally girl, and him wanting it to be her. I'm sad for her general position, for feeling like an outsider for being a girl who likes football, and I'm bummed at the fact that the female rivalry trope was used so much (and like this) in this episode. But Jess and Vince were both ♥♥♥, together and apart.

And yes, about Julie. I haven't seen the promo but D: DNW either. Not unless they very explicitly mention how WRONG WRONG WRONG it is for him to date her and have them promptly break up.

Hahahaha Luke. SUCH A ROMANTIC.

I totally had that weird moment of, "Wait. Should I bet finding this so cute?" when he wiped the puke off her mouth and then she wiped her hands on his shirt, but, whatever, they shouldn't have been so adorable if we weren't supposed to find it adorable.

And RIGHT? Oh LUKE. I was really glad that Becky was all, "Wait. WHAT?" because what else do you say to, "I traded my pig for you." That is a "Wait. WHAT?" situation if there ever was one.

LOL his SHIRT. I think Vince's puke-stained shirt was vying with Luke's traded pig for most romantic gesture of the evening, but. I think the vomit shirt very conclusively wins, despite Luke's best intentions.

FNL is one of the few instances in my life where Red > Blue. It's always Blue. Always. Except in UK politics. Definitely in sport (especially the Boat Race!). But now I have to root for Red.

So, can Coach Taylor round off the series finale by taking his second team to the State Championship in 5 years?

I wonder! I love that with this show, there's no way for me to really guess. They might make it to State, they might not. They might win State, they might not. Everything is possible. It's almost like watching real sports :-) (Except with, okay, a higher chance of them actually getting to State.)

That's it. There's a chance they'll be disappointed. That's what this show does, it's not always about everything being good and shiny and happy ever after. They're not afraid to show that life can kick you in the nuts and leave you writhing in agony and not everyone lives a charmed life.
