My mom just showed me this article in today's paper, about an event honoring the 8 remaining founders of the kibbutz of Beit Keshet, 65 years after it was founded.

Trying to compare the 'wall and tower' (that sounds much stranger when it's not just a code phrase) settlers, and the people who Built the Country, to no'ar hagva'ot (hill youth? wtf) is bizarre mostly because I assume that inside their heads, they really are the same. Same aims and means and same dangers to defend against. And hey, they really are the ones carrying on in the same path, it's just the question of whether the path is supposed to keep goiing the same way (before it hits a brick wall, etc ( ... )
