I'm reading sources for class that I've already read two years ago for a different class, and I don't remember a single thing. It's like they've been wiped from my memory. I've just dug up my notes from two years ago to make sure I'm not imagining this, and indeed I am not. This is so sad. At this rate, all that'll be left from my degree a year ( Read more... )

I graduated 22 years ago (eek!) but can still remember loads of stuff I learned as part of my degree - unfortunately very little of it is relevant. I did a Diploma in Horticulture five years ago and can barely remember a plant name. My excuse for not knowing much about Accounting standards these days is that they've changed so much in the 7 years since I left my last finance position. But I can still remember books I read at junior school more than 30 years ago.

And yes, FNL FTW. Except I'm struggling with Coach Taylor working with a team who wears red!

This is good to hear and yet still a little sad for me (what is wrong with my brain). I do remember stuff I learned in junior high fairly well though, hmm. It helps that it was probably not too difficult.

OMG FNL, I knoooow! Coach wearing read is so hard to root for, and yet. I love the new team kids. And I couldn't believe I was rooting for a guy to burn his Panther shirt, but I squeed so loudly when that happened (and also for the entire rest of the episode, to be frank.) GO-- oh shoot, I forgot what the name of their team is. Lions?

I love the kids, I love the team, I love the coach (and would happily have his babies!!!). I just don't do teams in red. It's a cultural thing. I'm genetically predisposed to hate teams in red.

I was sad enough to check the NBC store the other day to see whether they had any Lions shirts in, but they are still packing Panther merchandise.

Hee. I am reminded of my grandmother, who is genetically predisposed to rooting for teams in red, because back when she was a kid the colors also had ideology behind them and the red team was who the entire family rooted for. It was a socialist thing.

Oh, it happened. Except for the part you dislike Death In Venice, which I actually like (but maybe it has to do with my immense joy of actually finding it in a bookstore after looking for more then two years)

I know, bb. I am finding it hard to watch, myself. I said this before, but it's like the usual writers were sick and a monkey with a three year old's sense of humor wrote the troll episodes. The only reason I did my awesome review on the first episode was that other poor souls won't have to suffer what I suffer, and can just read my review instead of watching it. And also because I missed doing little crack reviews like I used to do for House.

It's Guy Pines (or, as it is called in my house - Guy's Penis) I'll be highly surprised if they don't ask any Jewish questions.

They have to ask Jewish questions! I'm really looking forward to those, because I expect that any regular album-promoting questions will be both boring and recycled.

Ah, but you're referring to the book, and not to Visconti's film. Watch the film, then tell me what you think. (Or don't watch the film, and... keep your sanity intact.)

If by "blah?" you mean OH MY GOD THE TORTURE, then yes.

Also: boy might have been pretty, but the professor's creep factor >>>>> all.

secretly I just want to see Adam's reaction to being interviewed for a show pronounced Guy Penis.

HAHAHAHA. Overall the GP show is not really amazing or anything, but when it comes to names it is the BEST SHOW EVER. I suspect Adam will concur.

I know! The only way he could be better was if his name wasn't Guy Pines but Pines Guy.

So much love for it, man. Tami this season, and Coach and Tim, and I'm really loving Vince and Luke (Luke! ♥), and Julie and Landry... Of all the shows I watch (and the number is not insignificant), there are few that make me truly happy to see sitting on my desktop each week, and this is one of them.

The upside of Windows 7? It tells you there's an update and that it'll do its stuff when you shut down next. That stupid box doesn't keep popping up telling you to reboot.

That stupid freaking box, I want to physically hurt it.
