Crap crap crap crap crap,
I have a test tomorrow and I was a big enough idiot to pick up the book I bought a few weeks ago - Yochi Brandes' Kings 3 - and it is TOO TOO AWESOME, EVERY SINGLE WORD, and I have no idea how I'm going to be able to study for this week's tests like this.
Seriously, every other line makes me squee, and I cannot wait to see this character. It takes place during Kings 2 in the Bible, and the thing is, the last time I read those bits were in high school and even then I didn't read everything and it's complicated and political, so I don't remember everything that went on there, and on the one hand I really want to look it up to see what references I'm not getting and what's text-based and what's not, and on the other hand, I just don't want to get spoiled, because the mysteries she's building are so good.
But I think I need to - I mean, they keep talking about "the king" and I'm not sure whether it's David or Solomon or... okay, wait, this is before the kingdoms split, DAMN IT I'M GOING TO HAVE TO SPOIL MYSELF arrgh.
Okay, no, what I'm going to have to do is put the book down.
