ILU. You had me at "the doubtfully-washed masses".

Thank you!

Man, it was so fun writing Carrot. I'd only written a line or two of him before, but for this I skimmed through FoC a little and fell in love with him all over again. Carrot + David = truly overwhelming amounts of win.

Brilliance. Sheer brilliance. All the characters, including the AM mob, are pitch perfect.

Thank you! I hadn't actually intended for the crowd to have such a big part in this, but then I ran across a quote - can't remember where - about Ankh Morporkians being drawn to a very unique kind of street theater, and the mob suddenly got a life of its own. I'm happy you liked it :-)

Wow, this is great!

You really captured all the Watch characters, especially Carrot.

Also... Hebrew S. Kool. *snerk* Nice one.

As you can see, there is no obstakle the Watch cannot over-come when we are standing on the side of Truth, Justice, and One Hard-boiled Egg.

Liked that bit. The whole letter was a nice coda, really.

Thank you! I had to skim a little of Feet of Clay to remember how totally in love with Carrot I am. This is how I picture him looking - another favorite character of mine. Just, ♥. Although trying to spell like Carrot is a pretty painful task.

Yay, shared fandoms! Yeah, daysofawesome is chancy with fandoms you'll recognize, especially with crossovers, so I am very happy you liked both :-) I've always wanted to write something about Carrot and David, my two favorite kings (or not kings) of all time, so I was glad for this opportunity.

It worked really well, and the inclusion of Dorfl made me sporfle. (Sorry.) And Carrot would of course be as wonderfully competent with a sling as he is with everything else, even using (very) hardboiled ammo. :-D

You know, I was just going to have it be a regular david and Goliath parallel, and I was kind of stuck on how to make it funny, and suddenly I remembered the hard-boiled egg. It was like DIVINE INTERVENTION. That's what I call days of awesome.

Thank you! I'd totally forgotten Matt was Jewish until jadelennox posted a small drabble about him a week ago, and then I promised to write this DW/Heroes fic, and it was still the holidays, and everything just converged into this. Which I am pleased with - I've always loved the metaphysical connection between David (♥) and Carrot (♥ ♥).
