1. As a follow up to my last post, I'll mention that my paper was handed in after 43 straight hours of working on it, because I suck, but it was okay. (I dare say it might even have been good! But we'll see what the prof has to say first.) And then I spent a few days with weird jet-lagged sleeping pattern and aversion to the internet, and then ( Read more... )

Ooooh, so pretty!

Thank you for the pictures.

And hee -- I'll bet September evenings in Jerusalem are awesome and cool. :-)

It was so, so pretty. I'm at that stage where I'm just reccing it to everyone and waiting to go again with someone.

So incredibly jealous of Jerusalemites, you cannot imagine. We're just beginning to feel the cool shadows of fall, while those bastards - merely half an hour away - are one hop away from winter.

Those pictures are gorgeous. Oh, my.

And that is exactly how I feel about 90210. It's not good, but it's 90210! I will totally be watching it, curse my weakness in the face of teen dramas.

1) I can't wait until they start convincing the old cast to guest star. the Kelly/Brenda reunion may have been one of the lamest scenes I've seen on television this year, but... it was Kelly and Brenda! It's like reading futurefic, except in live action! And it's not like I cared enough about the characters to care what they did with them, so I'm happy. (Okay, it would have pissed me if they'd killed off Steve. But other than that.)

2) Again, lame, but I liked how the first episode mirrored the first episode of the original show, except with the small twist of the adopted brother. That was actually cool.

3) Those kids are totally not 15/16. Jesus.

4) The male teacher was cute, but I am so dreading the story arc (which you know will arrive at some point) where he'll have an affair with one of the students. No. Just no.

Ta-na-na-na--ta-na-na-na makes me go air guitar all over the place. That song feels so much like summer (, 1996).

1) I was just going BRENDA BRENDA OMG! And then I started to pay attention to see if I could notice if Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth still have issues. I hope they get Brandon oh-crap-I-forgot-his-name-Jason-something? And Tori Spelling probably isn't doing anything else.

3) Oh, yeah, totally.

4) Absolutely. I'm thinking it's going to be the cute thief/actress that looks like Anne Hathaway. I HATE the teacher/student storyline. Unless it's... no, can't think of any I like.

I was actually a little bit impressed with Naomi, she seems kinda interesting. I still don't know if the main girl's name is Annie or Amy, though.

Me too. And speaking of resemblances, I thought Erin Silver looked and talked a lot like Tyra from FNL! (I think it was her.)

Her names definitely Annie.

And already I find myself talking about this show way more than I thought I would...

It was a beautiful exhibition! The closest I've seen was when they did this laser show on Stone Mountain, which was nice and all, but incredibly cheap - effect-wise and content-wise - compared to this. I was really impressed.

It was so beautiful. I hope they keep it running for at least a year - It's not that expensive, and I'd happily go a few more times.

That's so incredibly cool! I love the footage of the animated people holding up the sheet for the shadow doves - clever and so pretty.

Thanks for sharing!

I loved that part too! It was really creative, and combined with the lights and the sounds and the reflection in the water (there's a shallow pool right beneath them), it was really magical.
