I think that would have made for a longer and more complicated series... and perhaps, since they didn't think about that to start off with -- couldn't just bring it in later. Or... perhaps they might have not wanted to get into that much detail or off the topic/center of the story line?
Or that... or it could make the fight longer... however, in order to have a fighting chance against the clones, they would have to give them super powers or something.
i assume that the only reason the clone army was able to get as big as it did was because it was being made in secret. once the knowledge of the armies was out there, building more might have attracted the wrong attention for either side...
Well the vader clones would have came after the emperor took control over the republic, so secrecy wouldn't matter since the rebels wouldn't have an army large enough to lay seige to an entire planet.
Plus I think it would be almost easier to do it in secret since you are talking about maybe a hundred thousand clones at most with vader, compared to the millions made for the clone wars.
Of course I think the main reason that they didn't is that it would so overbalance the force that the universe would implode or something *lol*
Dear god, I have been trying to get through Force Unleashed... Don't remind me.
Starkiller (The apprentice in TFU) really does a number on both Vader AND The Emperor in the book and comic, and he was an untrained "Jedi" at the end. Makes some of the original Jedis look like bare assed chimps.
Not so sure on the second clone army. Not sure the "midichlorians" would work that way, even with genetic cloning. Sort of reminds me of a bad episode of "Darth and Droids".

It would probably make a MUCH shorter story...
Vader clone army attacks, everyone who resists dies, the end.
