Being non-christian and working retail has REALLY dampened my whole outlook on christmas. I usually can't wait for it to be over with *lol*
Somehow, I don't think the Polar Bear is native to Illinois *lol*
Wildlife Prairie Park only has native Illinois animals in it so that kinda limits things a bit, but the animals they do have are VERY happy and have a couple of acres of prime native habitat to run around in.
And since the enclosures are so huge and full of trees, bushes, etc. It sometimes takes a long time to spot one of the animals (like the cougar or bobcat), which is kinda part of the fun.
No, they've never really given it a fair try. They are kind of stubborn and set in their ways, but I guess being 60+ years old, they have a right to be *lol*
The one Christmas I worked at UPS, I really felt and hated it. The # of packages to be delivered during that time was 15x the norm. So, I know, but still... Christmas just makes me come to life. :)
Ahhh... okay. I guess I can understand about the old saying "teaching old dogs new tricks." Hehe. :) I somehow doubt I could get my grandma to love shrimp [or even touch it.] ;p
