The plan was for trianne, loreley_se and me to go to the play together on the 22nd and 23rd, but due to work commitments loreley_se won't be able to make it for either one evening

*weeps on behalf of the poor Colin fans living in America who would LOVE to go but sadly cannot due to work/time/money/stupid large pond in the way, etc.* :*( Please give our support to Colin if you get to talk to him again.
All we can do is read and look at all the pretty pictures and drool. Not that I'm not terribly thrilled for all of you who get to go of course but it is very sad for the rest of us. Sorry, had to vent.
Have a fabulous time, all you lucky duckies who're getting to go/go again. Thanks for all the reports and pics. :)
That's definitely the downside of theater; limited possibility for fans to attend and/or get to see it later one way or another.
Sharing reports and pics is a way of sharing the experience a little. I always highly appreciate it when other fans do it, so I try to do my bit too :D
I know what you mean. The sad thing is, America is so big that even if he *did* theater here the chances are most of his American fans would still not be able to go. I know he would be awesome on Broadway, for instance, but I'm nowhere near New York.
Your comment about Colin's eyelashes being visible from outer space made me LMAO. Thanks for that! :)
So sorry to spam but I couldn't find a way to contact you otherwise since I didn't see an email address on your lj. Anyway, thought I would bring your attention to this, it's a (very spoilery) review of the play and needless to say, Colin got a brief but very positive mention in it:
My friend took some grainy phone photos of me chatting to Colin, so I was waiting for her to mail them to me before I posted about it. It was brief and basically he signed my programme and I said what a harsh play it was. He said he thought that was because you could hear the internal thoughts and that always made things harsh. Than as he turned away there was a lovely little monent where I said 'good luck in Glasgow tomorrow'. He turned back looking really surprised, gripped my arm and said in a really pleased and touched voice 'oh, thank you'. At that point I died with pleasure so can tell you no more.
As for 23rd, I'm going to impulsively say yes, even though getting tgere after work is going to be nightmare. But I do so want to see the play with actual Colin fans!
Excellent, so you're coming. What time do you think you can make it to the theater? I'm not one for queuing an hour in advance and I don't need first row seats, but I'd like to know from what time on I should get worried ;p
I'll pm you my phone number, that may come in handy!
Yes, I'm so happy, I'm literally bouncing up and down my chair. Too bad the site has some issues, but I hope they solve it quickly so I can order my ticket.
