That thing with the Merlin screening, the fangirls and the cast showing up.
So, I'm at loreley_se's place, just back from a big squee-fest and I sure hope (and expect) there will be awesome and coherent reports because if you're looking for it here you're going to get disappointed.
Anyway, got there, got the tickets, searched for andraste_oz and vissy who happened to be over from Australia right now when they could attend this fandom event. It was so nice having a fellow Colin nut over here so we could alternate apologizing for the weird squeaky noises whenever Colin was spotted. So many lj people! I'm going to spell names wrong I'm sure so I'll get back on that later in a more thorough post which I hope to write up next Wednesday when I'm home and have a day off.
Highlights for me:
Spotting Bradley talking to a wee boy while trying to get to the loo (according to the sturdy looking security guys).
Spotting Colin sitting at the table for autographs (we were in the part of the queue that didn't manage to get through, but I got to see him sitting there, looking all lovely, trying to take a picture but when I failed because I was so bloody nervous I just watched and he saw me and said 'sorry' and I grinned 'that's all right' back and had to walk away because there were funny things happening in my stomach. Maybe I shouldn't post these things...
Watching flashes of the little fight demonstration Bradley and Andreas did, particularly because Bradley is so obviously loving it.
Watching Andreas do a swordfight workshop, particularly with the deadly serious kids. (I got to feel one of the sword's blades, and asked if the dents were from their fighting and it's clear they don't pull any punches when they use them, damn!)
Sitting next to andraste_oz for the screening (love you too londinensa, but this was a first timing meeting of someone I've known for years online and now got to meet in real life, which was awesome!)
Watching the whole cast arrive for the screening.

The Q&A: Katie was so sweet and so absolutely delighted with her own fanbase it was completely adorable. Angel was her quiet self; sweet but didn't say much. Bradley's mom apparently hasn't told him off for slouching and putting his foot on the table because he did that again this time. Colin was sweetly quiet and looking so good I couldn't keep my eyes off him.
No footage from me this time because I wasn't in a good spot; could see the stage clearly, but there were so many people with cameras in better places that I'm sure we'll see pictures by them. Keep an eye out particularly for jhava and loreley_se. The latter had me call out loud when we got a sneak preview of her pics in the restaurant where 5 of us went to have something to eat and drink afterward.
Anyway, I'm going to post this now and hand over the laptop to her.
