Packing almost done and then we're leaving. First for a camping on one of the Northern islands of The Netherlands. (Yes, we have islands. Small ones.) We'll be spending a week with my brother-in-law, his wife and their 4 children, walking distance from the sea. \o

It's typically Dutch weather; some sun, plenty rain, some amazing sunsets and fantastic clouds. Our tent got flooded. Twice. But *Morgan Freeman voice* the waters receded.

This second week we'll have a cottage, with a coffeemaker and everything! And no more need for an umbrella to go to the loo...

I really enjoyed this week of camping, but I'm afraid I've gotten kind of attached to a certain amount of luxury.

Texel. Will you believe this was the first time I've been to one of the islands?! I loved the peace and quiet, the wonderful landscapes, the sea all around (oh, I love the sea!!) and the abuncance of cycle- and foot-paths.

The weather could have been more favorable though...

Ik schakel maar even over naar Nederlands. Ik ben ook nog nooit op één van de Wadden-eilanden geweest. Erg he? Ik zou heel graag willen, maar het is er nog niet van gekomen. Het lijkt me echt geweldig - zo stil en de natuur en de zee. Zeeland lijkt me trouwens ook wel mooi. Ik ben er lang geleden een keer geweest, maar daarna niet meer.

Het weer is idd niet echt best. Misschien verandert het gauw...
