We've got it.

Since we live in a small town, and not everybody here is reading the Harry Potter books in English, but wait for the translation, which won't be released until somewhere this fall, the bookshop where we pre-ordered the book didn't open at midnight. But they did open 2 hours earlier, at 7.00 am, so we arrived at the shop at 6.50 am, ( Read more... )

There's so much warmth between all the members of the team! I've already had sneak peeks at later episodes, with Mitch and Vala, both of whom are great, and I love the chemistry between the team-mates in those later episodes, but there's nothing like the original SG-1 team.

You're lucky! The bookstore I'm getting it at opens at 9.30, and not a second earlier. I guess I could have gone to a different one, but I always go to this one. Oh well. I'll be leaving there in a bit. Very exciting!! :D

Hee. Icon <3.

You'll probably have caught up with me by now. I'm approaching page 250 now. I'm hoping to get to 400 today. I'm really going as fast as I can, but yeah, still pretty slow. ;)

Chapter one: The Dark Lord Ascending
The two men appeared out of nowhere, a few yards apart in the narrow, moonlit lane.

I won't get the book before monday - I always have my Amazon stuff delivered to the office and didn't realise until too late that the publication date was a saturday. Well I probably wasn't too much bothered to be honest. I'll be fine having it next week :-)

I'll have to wait until tomorrow to actually be able to read it, but I like the secure feeling it's already in the house. My daughter is trying to speedread it before she'll be off tomorrow afternoon, and I think she's going to make it. After that it's my turn. When she gets home again next week she can read it at leisure (that's what holidays are for!).
