Chris starts out reasonably well by noting:

I think the issue you're missing is this - Ayers in the 1990s (that date is important) was not advertising his terrorist past. In fact, fellow faculty members at the U of Chicago didn't know what he'd done until an article came out in 2001 in the Chicago Tribune.

Liddy was most definitely not hiding. I also don't think "adherence to the principles" our our country involves trying to subvert an election by committing a felony.

Much like people on the right want to know "what Obama and Ayers did" while on the Annenberg project, I'd like to know what Liddy and McCain did that they call each other "old friends."
