Season 4, yes? I'd be more certain, if mid-season breaks didn't sometimes get as long as between-season breaks. {others are worse than OUAT, i grant you}

I liked the episode...it answered lingering questions I had.

Rumplestiltskin has had his fingers in absolutely everything that ever happened in this 'verse! This is one of the three fundamental laws of OUAT. (The other two are: Everyone's related; and: Everyone somehow finds their way to the land without magic no problem, except Rumplestiltskin. *g*)

that doesn't lessen my desire to see more of what things were like before he became the Dark One...it increases it!

heck, his involvement in everything else, makes me wonder if Rumplestiltskin is the one who penned Henry's 'Once upon a time'.

{back in early s1, I thought they were trying to make The Dark One to be this person that people only went to as A VERRRRRY last resort.....lately, it's seeming, even in flashbacks, like he's the first choice to go to}

though it's odd - was Gold so sure he was safe from attack by the Snow Queen...purely because he had the three ribbons?
