"if nothing else, this episode demonstrates the importance of timing - when you know what."

Agreed. I've been thinking about this since early on in the series. When did everything happen. I've been working on creating a rough Once Upon a Timeline.

>Agreed.
and how we can wonder "what would they have done, had that information reached them sooner or later than it did onscreen?"

as to the timeline, I look forward to reading it.

my main question in s1 had been "which came first - Rumplestiltskin's deal with Ella, or Belle's 'if I'm never to know another person...' ?"
now we know...i think. :)

Hey, I'm here from abc-onceupon; I haven't seen 2x21 yet, so please don't spoil it for me if you reply!

is there anything that he didn't engineer?
Lol. I makes me stupidly happy to still get a "oh, and by the way, this was Rumple's doing as well" this late in the series. (I would never, ever get tired of this.)

I thought that Hook was brilliant in this episode. I wonder, if Regina hadn't betrayed him, would he actually have chosen her side?

"You roped the kid into this?" somebody needs to tell Neal that his son is a master manipulator, possibly greater than his grandfather.
Heh. Who roped in who here, hm?

now I'm wondering why Snow trusts/trusted Rumplestiltskin as much as she's done
Hm, that's a good question. Shouldn't she have been more suspicious, when they first meet, just from Regina expecting him to come to her aid? She is much too trusting towards him, and she especially doesn't seem to suspect him of playing a deeper game - which, if she knew he'd been involved with Regina this early on, perhaps she should have?

2x21?

>Heh. Who roped in who here, hm?
inherited it from Regina, or learned it from Regina?

wait, I mean inherited from Rumplestiltskin. bit of a typo.

> I wonder, if Regina hadn't betrayed him, would he actually have chosen her side?
maybe yes, maybe no; but while its too late to find out, he might offer alliance later on? (s3)

>I think it's too early, and that's he's had maids before? I think there must have been a specific reason why he kidnapped Belle in the first place.
kidnapped?

I think the only thing Rumplestiltskin didn't engineer, was the return(s) of the ogres.

> maybe she could have let Snow a little time to cool down about how all the people's she's lived with lately have been brutally slaughtered
ditto for Regina; they both tend to forget they have things in common.
