I really liked this ep, and how it once again sets up how special Nick is for not being your typical Grimm. I love that Nick saved Bud, and that he told the guy to call his wife cause she's worried.
It was also very interesting that a wesen might think himself a Grimm, because yeah, if the choice is between being whatever the hell he was, or being a Grimm, Grimms probably seem like the preferable option. And with him hating his mom, because well, she's an ongoing proof of what he 'is' rather than what he'd like to be. Also interesting, that he probably got his ideas of what a Grimm is supposed to be from the wesen fairytales
remembered another example of something onscreen which looked like Ryan's wesentype: she was on the original Star Trek series. (a salt monster?)

though that gives me a plot bunny: a younger Monroe, saying "aw man, don't be a Grimm about it." :)

it makes sense, though...in RL, how many things are compared to fairytales? (such as, "my own Prince Charming")
