Do you know the comics? If the rumours of the arc they are going to do in Iron Man 3 are correct, you ain't seen nothing yet!

don't know the comics, sorry; that was more the result of some casual conversation that got punctuated by "now THAT I'd love to see."

heard a joke about two weeks before Avengers were released - "So, this movie's basically Iron Man 3, huh?" (it was part of a theater impression of the Avengers commercials)

Oh, Tony's armour being able to join in without him has been a feature of the comic story lines for about ten years - perhaps longer. There was the memorable occasion when he called up every single version of the armour (and I seem to recall that when Steve had them returned to him after his armoury had been seized by a baddie in the government - long, long story - these filled ten trucks) and sat controlling them from a rooftop as they fought a villain for him.
