I don't know why it took so long. I guess they weren't sure it wasn't going to work or something but it has two whole seasons already.

I suppose Sirens are like Banshees (or maybe here they're the same being)...if there are no males, that only leaves two options for continuing the species: xenogamy or parthenogenesis.
