.
Just saw the pilot episode of Lost Girl, and I'm rather wondering if the SyFy Channel has staggered/delayed its airing of the series to be long after everyone else airs it (like BBC_America does with Primeval)...or if this is a different version/edition of the series (like what SyFy Channel did with Being HumanThe version I just saw, stars ( Read more... )

He's a Siren which I think is really cool, never thought of them being male before. I also loved that the head guy wears a cravat! Yum. I haven't seen the Syfy airing. It's on dvr but the cast is the same as the original Canadian series and what I've seen in the ads is the same.

I don't know why it took so long. I guess they weren't sure it wasn't going to work or something but it has two whole seasons already.

thank you for answering.

I suppose Sirens are like Banshees (or maybe here they're the same being)...if there are no males, that only leaves two options for continuing the species: xenogamy or parthenogenesis.

>the cast is the same as the original
this kinda explains why E.Vaugier looked different when she briefly returned to Covert Affairs last season - she'd been involved in another show. (and hopefully one kinder to her character)

>it has two whole seasons already.
yes!!

(like with Murdoch Mysteries - I can enter the fandom, secure in the knowledge it wasn't axed after five or ten shows (a moment of silence for Brimstone))

Sirens and banshees are different subspecies of fae in Lost Girl. There's a whole episode dealing with the fallout from a banshee scream.

The other cop is a siren, yes.

This is a delayed rebroadcast of the original show. Season 2 is airing in Canada now.

Consent is a complicated and spoiler filled discussion, but the short answer is it's mostly not a problem.

thank you.

lucky Canadians.

That's good to hear. I suppose I've heard too much about succubi and monks, hence my question.

though the question - even if only in terms of doubt - led to me writing this.
