I loved that Liz and Colby had to be undercover as a married couple on the rocks. That... would have been hilarious to see! And I'm sure David loved every minute of it (seeing as he's completely in love with Liz, it would make him feel better to know things weren't working out with her pretend husband. LOL.)
The ending... Don't GO DAVID! If your schedule is wide open, stay with Liz... forever! *sighs* That's how it happens in my mind anyway.
