I've had thoughts like that before too! Like if there's a book I've already read from the library, that I now have a chance to buy. IDK, I'd say if you really think you'd read it again and it's cheap enough, go for it.
to be honest, I have the same problem with borrowing too -- ie, "this book got me interested in math/cryptozoology/alaskan authors, so who am I to deny someone else the opportunity to fall in love with that (with this book) ?"
