a crossover?

Is it just me, or do Honeysuckle Weeks (Samantha Stewart on Foyle's War) and Karen Gillan (Amy Pond on Doctor Who) sound an awfully lot alike?

okay, minus Pond's (faint) Scottish accent.

I ask because I tried to imagine them having a conversation...and was struck by how alike they sounded.

Interesting. They do both have deeper and darker voices than average on TV (Sam rather more so than Amy), although the accent differences are probably more obvious if one is English: Sam's scrumptious RP always reminds me of Plucky Gels in films of the Forties and Fifties (which one assumes is the intended effect).

They both have tremendously *pretty* voices as well. Amy's voice-overs give me tingles. This dream must end; this world must know/ we all depend on the beast below.
