No, it's a thick soup (like mushy peas if memory serves), with a pie floating in it.
Sorry, randomly wandering through the Primeval comm's friends page!

Two in one! What a bargain. :)
Australian meat pie (anything like a Shepherd's Pie?)
Not really... It's much smaller, and looks like this, and when it's good, it's very, very good. And this is a Cornish pasty.
stared at one in a store, and nearly bought it...but I couldn't smell anything, so I left it alone
No, the smell isn't noticeable until you've cut it open.
Malukhiyah (??)
It's a greenish coloured, herb flavoured Egyptian soup.
Whitchetty grub (which one's that?)
Desert grub. It's a staple source of fat and protein for Australian aborigines.

*nods* and they're outnumbered by the Korean and Vietnamese restaurants.

many thanks, on both of them.
not sure I can find an Australian meat pie around here, but I'll keep my eyes open for it.

I may've tried a sliver of mango, not sure; either way, I wouldn't have counted a sliver.

I want to do this, but since I'm a vegetarian I think there'll be a lot of unbolded items left on it. :-)
ETA: oh, also I wanted to add that I have never had durian but have always wanted to try it! Some day.

Presuming the first it's a type of savoury pastry which tends to be semicircle shaped as it's folded over - contains meat and veg. Very filling! Sure I've heard they originally got taken to work by miners and other manul labourers, good solid lunch item.

Not too sure that list is as adventurous as I'd imagine it could be. There's no offal on it for starters, not that I recognise name of. And there's way more awesome fruits and veg to taste. I remember fondly Ugly (or Ugli?) fruits from a trip to Israel but alas the ones they import here have all been nothing like it.
