I am most likely seeing more than you were trying to present.
That tired fandom habit: there is a lot of woman bashing of female characters on this show by its predominately female viewership online, and of Anna in particular...
So, it was nice to see a phrase like "woman angel" and have a character in a short story inhabit that title so well.

ETA: I think this is one of the first fics I've read that does justice to what I personally was seeing of Anna on screen. ... I don't agree with fandom much. LOL

I asked what paralels because of how most of fandom (that I've seen) talks about the paralels between Dean and Michael, between Sam and Lucifer.

ah. many thanks for explaining that; and I agree - Anna is her own person, and she's more than an angel or a human....she's Anna.

hell, she's someone Castiel listens to, and its a short list of who he gives a fig about)
