"Face paint."
Liz shook her head. "I don't think so, Granger. A tattoo would show her that he's in for the long haul."
"This would be easier if they could share dye bottles."
"You wanna be the one who signs him up for Hair Club? Cause I'm not going there," Liz said. "Anyway, if she decides she doesn't like the color, it's easy enough to get it removed."
Colby raised an eyebrow. "What did you used to have tattooed?"
Liz said nothing.
"I don't know what you two are talking about," David said, coming in, walking past them, "and I'm not sure I want to."
"Come on," Colby said. "There was so much charge in the air between you and Dr Osaki, I'm surprised it didn't cause any heat haze."
"I think the two of you are cute together," Liz said.
"We had one date," David said, not about to mention that he and Rachel had scheduled another date for this weekend. "You guys know this."
"Don't know how it went."
"But I can guess," Colby said.
"Oh yeah?" David asked.
"Hell yeah. It was like standing on the edge of a field, looking at all the pollen in the air blowing between the two trees."
"Uh, yeah," David said, shaking his head as he sat at his desk.
"So?" Liz asked.
"What?"
"What're you going to do?"
"My job," David said, deliberately misinterpretting.
Liz and Colby groaned and got to work.
