um....is that possible?

If I want to change from Times New Roman font to, say, Albertus font, and back again a paragraph later, is that possible in lj?

(I've already reserved bold, italic, and underscore for other functions in the story, and I need the font-change for a journal entry)

thank you.

There is an html code for font changes (Your text here.) but you do have to be careful to choose a font that's 'internet friendly' if you want to guarantee that it will appear that way on every browser out there.

Try googling 'html font code' for the fonts that are most likely to work.

NB as usual, replace the [] brackets with <>

This is just a personal thing for me but I really hate it when I see fics where the journal entry or letter is in a handwriting style font. But this could just be me! I can't read that kind of font without really, really concentrating. (I also don't know what kind of font Albertus is... it doesn't appear on my Word font list)

I have been known to copy down letter fics and change the fonts in order to do a printout - but agree that for screen reading purposes it's best to stick to mechanical faces - arial is perfectly acceptable for 'casual' writing.

Bradley Hand ITC. is a readable script font - but not very internet friendly.

if I may ask (and it's the dead of morning here, so I'm groggy ATM), how would you suggest I write it? remember I already have functions for bold, italic, and underlined.

As long as it isn't a handwriting type font, then it should be fine. Something like Book Antiqua or Poor Richard should be okay. I dunno what kinds of fonts usually show up in browsers.

I think you could use italics for more than one function. I generally use it for a lot of things like articles, journal entries, thought as well as emphasizing things. I think it's okay to use it like that...

I'm sorry if I wasn't clear! (it's really late at night here)
