I'm taking part in a discussion over at Ultranos_Fic's lj site, and amidst the discussion as to how the Ori would best handle Earth...

And I realize that the SG1 series has presented us with two pictures of what the Ori want.

It might be the case that Daniel and the Priors (probably mostly the Priors, because I see them spreading this more) hear "demanding respect due to them from species and civilizations lower in the ladder" and interpret "worshiping them". Perhaps projection of the idea that persisted for millenia of kings and emperors as deities in their own right ( ... )

I suspect that, whether or not the other Ascended Ancients do that as well, Oma Desala certainly does...remember, she got the planet and people of Abydos to ascend. (and "got" might be slightly misleading, since Oma did all the work). *That* can't have been a trivial thing to do!

hm...do the Wraith ever spare thougths for the Ascended Ancients? (revering them as creators?)...does the dedicated mind of the Pegasus Replicators translate into food for the Ascended Ancients?
