I thought this would be far easier than it was. I have quite a collection of both Indi and Alternative female rock bands but I've only managed to dig up this so far, I started to realize a lot of the songs are towards darker themes or more towards the cocky-post-break-up themes or just simply revolving around boys. -_-''

In fact I think there may be several Queen songs which might be suitable but that's the one that springs to mind.

For something a little left-of-field there are show tunes like

You're the top by Cole Porter

you can probably find versions of these sung by numerous different artists and in different ways.
