LETTER: Dave Summers - $15,000 Loan

Jan 08, 2006 00:14

Here's the original letter dated 3/3/2005 from Dave Summers where he's sending me a cordial letter trying to convince me to invest $15,000. I had already gotten the original $14,000 amount for him 12/23/2004. Davis lied about it and used the money for his own purposes and lied to Dave. Then he told Dave that I was having family problems and was unable to get the money. So Davis tried to make it look like my fault.

I gave Davis a lot of leeway because he was under the guise of "Business Partner." So to show support we weren't strict with him:
  1. We'd borrow on good faith from my mom on behalf of Davis
  2. We wouldn't give him a deadline
  3. There was no contract
  4. There were no penalty late fees that would be tacked on
  5. There was no interest being charged
My mom is now $45,000 in debt and I'm pushing $30,000. Those Credit Card Companies that we borrowed from are REAMING us because of Davis' fuck-ups. That's why I get irritated the way Davis talks about his big deal and how it's all "HIS" money that he's going to make. It was at our expense. We were the ones funding that "education and experience" that he's enjoying now.

Now Davis wants me to hold myself liable for $100,000+ worth of collateral. Not under Davis' name, but under my name. My name has been dragged through the mud for the last two years with debt collectors that have my Social Security Number and hunting me down. Not Davis. Me. I'm the one who ends up looking like a fucking moron and an idiot in business because I keep giving money to him when he has an obvious track record of not being able to pay my family back. So it makes me look dumb.

I complain about how obvious the Signs are that I've been posting in my Journal about how the Planet is sentient, and nobody sees it. However, by the same token, everyone around me (friends, relatives, and the like) have been telling me that Davis is trouble, but I keep forgiving him and overlooking his obvious faults. It's the same thing with Bliss and Isabella, and those two women turned on me. After everything I've done for them, I was still made out to be the bad guy when I was telling the Truth about Psychic Phenomenon and have Journal Entry after Journal Entry on a daily basis directly off the Associated Press proving that I was correct.

Davis has a very skewed perception of things. He keeps holding it over my head that "we need to do something in order to get out of these debts." He holds it over my head. I did what I could and provided the financial backing he needed. I used to chauffeur his ass for two years, lugging around my laptop, and being like his personal assistant carrying all his stuff in my bag. He put 60,000 miles in two years on the car that I drove that got dented up and that he had me pawn June 2005 so that he could fly to New York to close on a deal with Dave R. and Drena D. that fell through.

He didn't have enough money to pay for the car to bail it out of pawn so my mom had to ask a personal favor from my aunt to bail it out. This is on top of the fake $30,000 check where he borrowed $3,000 against my aunt. So far, the article about the Del Monte Bananas surfacing in the news after I was claiming he's nuts was the funniest :o).

My mom gave me specific instructions not to tell Davis that the car had been bailed out because she said that she has Davis figured out. Once Davis learns that the car is no longer in pawn or with a deadline, he'll stop trying to raise money for it and think he's off the hook with his financial obligations.

That's why Davis likes having me be financial responsible because he knows he can "handle me" because I'm non-confrontational and don't complain much, which suits him just fine. Unlike other debtors and creditors that would hound his ass and throw law suits at him for dodging his financial obligations.

Davis thinks I'm stupid. On top of that, he's even insulting because he thinks all this talk about Psychic Phenomeon is just imaginary. That's why you see him getting mocked in public in the Associated Press.

Subject: $15,000 loan

Hello Rod,

It's Dave Summers. This email is regarding the $15,000 that Blaney owes me. As you may know interest rates on home loans are going up really fast and I'm afraid that soon I won't be able to refinance my condo at all. The reason why is that if rates get too high, I won't save any money by refinancing and actually lose money on the closing costs.

I have a proposal that I believe would make your mother feel secure. As you know I owe $284,000 on my loan. The current value of the condo is around $400,000. That leaves over $100,000 in equity. The only reason I cannot refinance now is because the $15,000 that Blaney owes is on my credit cards. As you know credit card debt causes FICO scores to drop. My current middle FICO score is 678. Using a credit score simulator program, I have determined that if I pay off the $15,000 on these credit cards, my score would go up to 748. At this point I could refinance the property for a good rate because of the score and the reduced debt.

Immediately after I refinance I could get a home equity loan for the $15,000 and pay it back. I figure 2 months at the most to repay the money. There is no risk for your mother as it will be very easy for me to get a home equity loan for $15,000 when I have $100,000 in equity. I would be willing to sign a contract stating that I will pay the money back in full in 60 days from the day I receive the money.

In order to show some credibilty on my behalf I could fax a few things over to you to give to your mother. I can send copies of the loan statements. I also have property reports which show the current value of the condo($400,000). I can also send a copy of my credit report(from all 3 bureaus) which shows that I have never missed a payment of any kind and I have no bad marks at all in 13 years since I was 18 years old.

I feel that this is a very sound and risk-free agreement. If she accepts I would like to get this done as soon as possible as rates just keep going up. Please talk to her soon and let me know what she says.

Thank you

Dave Summers
