I've just come back from playing the Dune Boardgame with a few people from the Portsmouth on Board gaming group.

The Guild's money comes in as handy as its shipping. THere's something very satisfying about lots of bidding money...

What's even better is when you're allied with the Atreides and they tell you what the next Treachery card is so you can rig (ahem) *arrange* the bidding to suit yourselves, especially when you can push the price up making people think that it's a good card and then the Emperor finding he's paid 12 Spice for a Baliset and a Jubba Cloak (still, at least that will keep him warm whilst he plays :-) )

We were also starting to wonder if there was a rule for what happens if the "Spice Bank" ran out because at the end of the game I had *seventy seven* Spice Tokens and I might have had to take an IOU to allow the next Spice Blow to happen!!
