But really, the fallibilty of the legal system is pretty much a given. Put people in jail for life and you've put innocent people in jail for life. Still sounds pretty awful to me. Killing them actually doesn't seem that bad, because if you believe in an afterlife that's just, you just sent the innocent people straight to it.

All in all: Meh. I'm not strongly for or against the death penalty. It just happens that both keeping people in jail for their whole lives and killing them are both really expensive... I'm looking for something cheap.
