so i've been thinking about going back to school to get my teaching degree. i've always had a passion for teaching.
what do you guys think of me as a high school teacher? do you think i could get a job even?

However, it is said that teaching is the #1 major right now. A really good friend of mine graduated from UofO a year ago with her masters in teaching and she still can't get a full time job. She finally got on the sub list a couple months ago and subs a couple times a week.
However, I also know someone who subbed for less than a year out of college and now has a full time job.
I'm not saying this to discourage but say that it's tricky right now to get a job so you need to make sure you have the passion for it and to be able to network.
It also depends on your subject focus. Language arts & music programs are sparser than science and math.
