The last post in Rocksalt Recs at DW is July 29, 2014. Am I subscribed to the wrong comm, or are the more recent posts just not up there yet?

No, that's correct. The last post made on LJ was from July 29, 2014. The comm has been on more or less permanent hiatus since then as all the mods have left the fandom or have other time commitments. The only way for there to be new posts is if someone decides to take up the mantle of mod and run it again.
