Reccer's notes: This is an achy, gorgeous look at a world in which Sam was the one who burned on the ceiling in the pilot episode. Cast adrift in a world without Sam, Jess has to rely on Dean to keep going. Soft, beautiful, a more than a little sad, this fic is definitely worth a read even if you don't think the pairing is quite up your alley. Apocalypsos is one of the few writers I trust implicitly, because no matter what she does, she does it wonderfully. This fic is no exception.
