[ Minor Characters ] Title: Like notches in the handle of an outlaw's gun / There's no glint in a dead man's eye Writer: ammcj062 Status of work: Complete Characters and/or pairings: Roy and Walt (the guys from 5x16), Samuel Winchester Rating: PG Warnings, kinks & contents: [Click to read](none listed) Length: ~850 words Summary: In a month or two, Roy and Walt will swing back into town to take care of the corpses of two John Does. Just in case.
Reccer's notes: This pair of drabbles was written under the theme, "dangerous!Winchesters," but also uses its POVs (Walt and Roy [!] and Samuel Campbell) to highlight the web of communications and tacit protocols that create the rest of the hunting community in intriguing ways. The overlap and interplay between characters we don't see interact in canon--and, in fact, never interact face-to-face in the stories--is particularly thought-provoking.
Because the piece is so short, I'll forgo an excerpt this time!
