Reccer's notes:This is another of my favorites written in that ambiguous gap after 6x20, when everything was going wrong for Dean and Cas, an unstoppable force meeting an immovable object and the heartbreaking collision. This is a bittersweet fic with no happy ending, but the imagery is simply stunning and the sheer emotion packed into every word just knocks me down every time I read it.
