Summary It's a week before Christmas and Dean is at Stanford hoping for one more impossible thing.
Reccer's notes This is a great read for a number of reasons. The wavering connection between Sam and Dean, the delicate nature of their interactions, and the convincing way the author brings them together all made this fic work for me perfectly. There's understanding being slowly developed, and undercurrents of bitterness and the very real emotions between them, none of which are easy or uncomplicated. It takes a premise that could just be fluff, or just a reiteration of a trope and gives it depth and feeling, with some great lines between them, and a very warm ending.
