SHERO

On Oprah right now the word "Shero" (as in a female hero) keeps being said. I don't know if I like it. I don't know if I like Oprah making up words period.

you'll be glad to know- oprah didn't make that word up. we used to throw that word around all the time at riot grrrl meetings 10 years ago.

It was just that P-oprah was using the word to describe womyn who had been shot in the face and come to "love their attackers like their own sons."

I was way more comfortable with the making up of words when it was Faulkner. Oprah's not allowed.
