Thank you for this. One of the reasons I was most curious about seeing the DVD was because I wanted to see how Colin performed while being as sick as he was. That seems a bit morbid, really. It was obvious to me that he was very unwell, but his performance completely melted me. I think his being ill probably gave him an extra layer of vulnerability that elevated his Ariel as a 'spirit' and I have to say that I had tears in my eyes as he sang, and delivered many of his lines, knowing how badly he must have felt.

I will never tire of seeing live theatre; there is nothing like it. You are so fortunate to have seen Colin as Ariel. I hope to one day see him on stage.
