01-02 CHALLENGE
While this song isn't super weird, I've been wanting to inflict it on you all since I had the idea for this comm kicking around in my head. 8D
It's now time to step it up a little bit with the second challenge! You may have left your heart in San Francisco, but you still believe in a thing called Love. And you just happen to love...
SHAPES.

Make a geometric shape with your text. I don't care what shape (as long as it's not a rectangle or square, that's too easy!) or which method you use to do it, just make me a pretty shape out of your text!
One example of how to make a shape with text can be seen in the header. I laid down my text, flattened the layer and then cut out a heart from it. This is probably the simplest way to create a shape out of text.
Examples of a few other ways to make a shape out of text:
The first was achieved just by arranging the typography myself. I added a circle behind it to help the shape stand out. The second was done via the shape tool and paths, which I believe is something only available in photoshop CS2 and up. Here's a handy-dandy tutorial for that method.
Those are just a few ways that you can create shapes with text. Don't hesitate to get creative, and feel free to ask any questions you may have!
