LONDON CALLING. MIND THE GAP. WHAT HO.

Feb 15, 2010 05:50

Sooo, LJ, I keep saying I'll update you and then I change my icons or look at communities and give up. My entries are always so goddamn long and boring--they're at least as tedious to write as they are to read. It's hard to work up the energy to care ( Read more... )

WHAT HO! I'm reading a Wodehouse book right now, actually.

THAT ASSHOLE WITH THE FLAT HAD BETTER NOT FLAKE. I mean, Jesus, we just asked about a damage deposit. That shouldn't be enough to deter someone who stands to make 700 pounds.

Not having health insurance in England is not going to be a more serious problem than it is here. You just have to avoid being admitted to the hospital, which you do pretty well most days in America. And damn, if you're going to slice your hand open and require stitches or whatever, way better to do it in a country where emergency care is FREE and not at home.

You know, I've never actually read Wodehouse. I should get on that! CONSIDERING WE'RE GOING TO ENGLAND AND ALL.

He probably won't flake. He seems like he Does This A Lot. I bet his internet just sucked or something and/or he was scrambling to draw up some kind of terms for us.

Yeah, I know, but my dad is such an angstmuffin. I UNDERSTAND the importance of having insurance in the event of some catastrophy, but ... yeah. My parents are the ones who are like AHH IF IT DOESN'T COVER YOUR CURRENT PROBLEMS IT'S -WORTHLESS- except now they're like OH MY GOD JUST GET COVERED IN CASE OF A CAR WRECK AND WE'LL HAVE TO PAY FOR YOUR DRUGS OUT OF POCKET ARR ARR ARR and... yeah? You would have to anyway because we've got a giant deductible that we never meet for months, so we ALWAYS pay our drugs out of pocket until like, late summer. Jesus.

Also, Pappy seems to be laboring under the delusion that if you don't currently have health insurance, you just don't want it badly enough.

It is kind of weird not seeing your long entries on my friends page! I get what you mean, though. Posting photos to LJ doesn't seem like it should be that difficult but it's the resizing and setting them up that takes forever. Barf.

OMG ENGLAND I want to go to Feeling Gloomy, I bet it's fun and not gloomy at all! Haha.

Sorry health insurance is a pile of fetid butts. :(

Aww, DID U MISS ME. It's odd having nothing to write about now that I'm not in school and it's winter and there's nothing to do! I really need a life. :\ Posting photos to LJ is hard, dude. I avoid it at all costs--Facebook became easier for me.

OMG ENGLAND I will let you know how it is! They play all kinds of awesome music that I love, according to Nicky! The club night is right after IAMX's show, so I'll be all pumped up and ready to DANCE.

So am I. "Fetid butts" made me LOL, though.

Insurance companies are disgusting and evil right now, and I really hope it becomes law that they can't deny coverage like this anymore. It's bullshit and it's wrong. The whole point of having health insurance is being able to see a fucking doctor... BECAUSE SOMETIMES FOLKS GET ILL. WOW.

UR GOIN TO ENGERLANDS

I knoooow. I seriously DO NOT GET IT. Every time I complain to my dad, he gets his Angry Face on and rubs his fingers together and says MUNNYYYY and yeah, Dad, I KNOW, but SERIOUSLY how is it still a business. I don't get why the gov't thinks it's OKAY for it to BE a business. It's disgusting. THESE ARE PEOPLE'S LIVES. TAKE CARE OF THEM. LET'S GET SOME HOT SOCIALIST ACTION GOING, AMERICA. ALL THAT ~COMMUNITY~ WORKING TOGETHER AW YEAH.

I KNOW. MY LIFE IS SO BORING RIGHT NOW IT'S HARD TO IMAGINE THAT IT WILL BE EXCITING IN A MONTH. I HOPE I DON'T SHRIVEL UP AND DIE BEFORE THEN.

Yeah, I concur! I'll still have savings when all is said and done, so it's fine. And I need to do something awesome now I've graduated. Thanks for being stoked on my behalf! LOL.

The English bloke that Chesh and I are seeing IAMX with used to be in a band that toured with IAMX, so I'm hoping he can use his Powers to coax Corner out to us. Got any messages I should deliver to Herr CC?
