I got it the other day and listened to half but it was washing over me, so I'll give it a more dedicated listen later. I am waiting for the really good songs to stand out. I do like "Who Would Have Thought?" a whole lot.

And the booklet is great.

It doesn't? It works for me. He's producing a lot of bands/artists. And... yep. He played a show with bert jansch somewhere in July. I don't know if he's doing any M&B or working on his solo album, though.
