My teeth hurt. The stupid ones with the fillings in them. Mom told me to take ibuprofen and I have been, but I'm failing to see how it's staunching the pain

1. If you didn't feel like a failure as a human being, you wouldn't still be on the drugs and in therapy.
2. It could be that Dr. I'manass is picking on you more because you're capable of better things. The assholes in your class, however, are only capable of pretentious drivel.
3. You can too write, bitch. I've seen people who can't write.
4. High school is over, and you're never ever going to be on the same level of experience as every single person around you again. This does not make you a less worthwhile human being. That's just life. College IS an experience--you always make it sound like you've just reached your pinnacle of existence and you will never, ever grow in any form ever again. Which is crap.
5. I have no idea what I'm going to do, either! But you're not a shitty person; people in Omaha just seem to be generally bitchy, like Londoners and Los Angelinos. Come live with me and we can frolic gaily in the smelly, but mostly nice Pacific Northwest.
Number 2 is what one of my high school art teachers always used to use on me. And I really hated her for it, because instead of coaxing me to try harder in class or to get better at what I was doing, she came across as insulting and overbearing. It's not that I want people to tell me, "Oh this is really good!" all the time, because what use is that? But it's not helpful hearing, "You can do better" every time unless she plans on explaining herself.
*GWARR* You're right on 1, 3, and 4. 2 is debatable - I don't think I'm better or worse than anyone else in there. I'm just average, but I have a lot of complaints to lodge. BECAUSE I FUCKING HATE SHITTY OLD MAN POETRY. FOR GOD'S SAKE

I think college/school in general is an issue. Some people seem to manage fine, and others have more trouble. But I think just about everyone will agree that it's tedious, tiring, and draining. College hasn't made you a shitty person. It's just making you feel like one. It's not helping me, either. Nothing I'm doing feels important or useful, and I hate that everyone seems to know more about _____ than me because I never do anything except sit at home all day. Yeah, I draw comics for the paper, and while that's helping me get closer to where I want to be (I think) it still doesn't feel like I've accomplished anything worthwhile.
Basically, I know how you feel, man. It was rainy here, too. I like rainy days, but I guess this one wasn't meant to be good.
*GWARR* I am proud of your comics gig, though! it's completely awesome that you're doing something you enjoy and making money off it. :D You should be proud of yourself, too.
Thank you for the empathy. It's good to have a giant College Support Group to come back to at the end of the day.
You're a writer. Don't let some dumb hack of a teacher make you feel as if you aren't. You're not writing for him, you're writing for you.
Chesh and Veer are right. You've got to stop comparing yourself to others. We're twenty years old, we're not supposed to know who we are. I know that lost feeling, though. We'll be okay. I love you. *GWARR*
*GWARR* (lots of gwarr in here!) You guys are all right. I did feel better having talked with you earlier, so thank you for that. :) <3 I love you, too, and I'm so sorry my stupid ass wasn't here when you were online! We were finishing our video game and I ate dinner and had Smeg cut my hair. :X Hopefully I'll talk to you sometime tomorrow - I have to go to bed around 4PM (since I'm getting up at 3AM to get ready for my flight), so we'll see.
