Marisa and I took a short vacation upstate this past week, and I think what made it a vacation and not just a trip upstate was that we didn't get that much sleep, like when you're in a new place and you don't want to miss anything by sleeping in (and I really mean "you," because I probably do actually want to sleep in anyway ( Read more... )

Ah ha! Let's see... I definitely have the crazy extended Avatar. I thinnnnk that copy of The Abyss has/is the "special edition"? I haven't looked at it closely. And the Aliens DVD is part of that "quadrilogy" boxed set that I think includes alternate versions of all four, including the Cameron's Director's Cut. T2 has been on so many different editions that I have no idea which one I have (it has a metal case; that narrows it down to, what, one of 30 or so?) or if it contains an extended version (I know I popped it in while I was folding laundry shortly before the last Terminator movie came out, and I don't think it was extended but I don't remember). The Titanic DVD I have is kind of lame (I got it for review, and if I remember correctly, I figured out that it was a "tenth anniversary" reissue that basically took OUT a bunch of extras and slapped on a new cover. Also the movie may be spread over two discs which is lame). Wasn't there a rumor of some crazy four-hour version of Titanic that never saw the light of day? I guess that's ( ... )

Hahaha. Additional bonus feature: True Lies 2 pitch reel (of Tom Arnold pitching True Lies 2 to a Terminator action figure with Cameron's head pasted on).
