my science professor told me that many caucasian males of european descent are somewhat immune to the aids virus because of the bubonic plague, the HIV doesn't ever turn into full blown aids in them. Maybe someday they can figure out what is different and use that to aid the epidemic in Africa. I am going to the voting polls on tuesday, but I'm not

they did figure it out. they arent immune to AIDS/HIV because of the bubonic plague, that was just a clue. some people have an irregularity in their cell's receptors.. where.. well.. they DONT recept. (short version) and cause of this they cant recept a virus because that is how the virus would normally take over the body. what that has to do with the plague is that a group of scientists were trying to figure out why some people in the middle of all the death just plain didnt get infected. and so they tracked those families to present day and figured out that they simply had the deformaty in their cells that made them immune to any virus. its actually just a freak accident body thing, like any other deformaty.. except this one rules. as far as figuring out how to use this for the cure for AIDS/HIV... THAT they havent figured out yet or i think we'd all hear about it. the more you know right?
