Zacharias loved parties, especially when he was throwing them. Granted, that meant he wasn't going to be drinking nearly as much as he wanted, but someone had to make sure no one blew his house up. He'd delegated bartenders to Daphne, a fair bit of decorating to Mandy, and made Megan entertain him. He sort of felt bad asking them to do anything

"Riah, there you are!" she said, finding him as she wandered into one of the main spaces. After the party began to fill up they had gone their separate ways. She gave him a big smile, her head fuzzy from all the champagne.

Once the music started Daphne let her body find the beat, letting her hips sway. It was easier than she thought it would be. Daphne was used to the spot light and being up here with Riah definitely caught the attention of others.

They seemed to be the type to gather attention, no matter the setting. This just amped it up. There were probably a few condescending comments about a Hufflepuff and Slytherin dancing on tables for attention, but people knew Daphne had a big part in this party, so he wasn't sure why they were just catching that.
Either way, the music drowned them out soon enough.

At first, he was wrapped up in how absolutely gorgeous she looked. With her belly shirt on, Terry couldn't peel his eyes away. It'd been ridiculously too long since he'd seen her like this, and it made him realize even more painfully so how much he missed her.
Walking towards her, he realized she wasn't alone up there.... Smith was dancing like he was going to make something happen, and it stirred something inside Terry, as usual. Prior to Daph he never would have imagined he'd be the jealous type but, well, here he was.
"Daph," he shouted up to her putting his hand out for hers. He gave her a grin, knowing she'd know what he was thinking.

"Terry, you came!" she said, as if she almost didn't believe he would. Daphne turned back to Riah, slightly disappointed to cut this short.
"It looks like I owe you a rain check...again. I promise I'm good for it."

He was laughing when he said it and already turning to see if he could spot anyone worthy of his time.
That's when Hannah caught his attention, shoulders hunched in the way they always were when she desperately wanted out of something.
Which, of course, meant Pansy Parkinson was involved.

She turned to Terry, leaning on his shoulders to help herself down from the table. She felt a little wobbly from both her heels and the drinks.
"When did you get here?" she asked, not yet letting go of him once she was safely on the ground.

He helped steady her to her feet, but still didn't let go. Part of Terry possessively wanted to cover her stomach. "That would have been better if it was a private show," he suggested quietly, not letting his voice lead too into it. Terry preferred to leave it as a statement, because it his mind it was fact.

"But you know I can always reenact for you later."

Daphne was more familiar with the flat than she realized. After all, she had spent the night in her own guest room not long ago and helped set up the party.
She led him to the same guest room she had stayed in a few days earlier.
"Will this work?"

He wasn't even sure where to start, so he just walked over to the bed and sat down on the edge of it, looking around at the decor. It matched the other rooms he'd seen so far, and he wasn't surprised. The Smiths must be loaded beyond belief.

"I'm really glad you came," she started, feeling much more sober now. The reality of everything came flooding back to her. "Apart of me didn't think you would."

"We're in a weird place," he observed casually, unsure how to even begin.

"I was so wrong, Terry."

"Where do we go from here?" he asked, choosing to look towards the future rather than dwell on past mistakes.
