Zacharias loved parties, especially when he was throwing them. Granted, that meant he wasn't going to be drinking nearly as much as he wanted, but someone had to make sure no one blew his house up. He'd delegated bartenders to Daphne, a fair bit of decorating to Mandy, and made Megan entertain him. He sort of felt bad asking them to do anything

Parvati's escape had been all thanks to Lavender's brother Alex. She'd snuck out without having to use floo, thanks to Alex's ability to apparate.

It hadn't been easy getting out quietly, but she left a note about being at Lavender's just in case they noticed her absence.

"I'm so glad I'm here," Parvati gushed, looking around the apartment. "Where are the boys?"

She turned to Lavender expectantly, assuming Lav knew where Roger at least was. And where Roger was, Eddie was sure to follow.

Parvati giggled again, tugging at her flowy shirt. Her outfit was cute but conservative, the way she'd been brought up.

"Seriously, I look out of place against them. But they've overdone it, for sure."

"By the way, I did a reading before I came..." she whispered quietly, "I think I'll be in the clear. The outlook seemed positive. Hopefully I won't get caught."

"Are you even surprised? Those two always over do it...especially Daphne. I think I've seen her in flats like, once in five years," Lavender said, rolling her eyes. The logic just didn't make sense to her.

But Parvati's news put a smile on her face.

"With out me? That is so exciting!" she squealed. "You will be fine!"

"I hope I did it right," she gushed, "It was sort of a mixed result, but there were many positives so I think I'll be okay."

After a second, Vati added, "I don't even need to do a reading on those girls. There future is clear. Knocked up and chlamydia by age 18."

Something about the girls in Slytherin really just set her off, and she was meaner about them than she was about anyone else. If anyone deserved it in her opinion, it was Pansy and Daphne. They were always so cruel, it was only right.

This caused Lavender to practically double over in laughter. She loved the way Parvati could be when something rubbed her the wrong way.

"I always at least thought they were classier," she said, "but you're right...they're no different from most trash."

Parvati shrugged, nearly done with her second drink. Uh oh... this might be one of 'those' nights.

"I'm just still pissed at Parkinson for being so rude to us last year." She kicked it up a notch for some Merlin unknown reason. And then she was mysteriously 'not present' at the Cup's attack. After being holed up for so long, she was starting to blame people to the extreme.

"Don't let her get to you. It's not worth ruining your night," Lavender said, putting a hand on Parvati's shoulder. Though, it didn't stop her from glaring at the two girls again.

"They're so wrapped up in themselves....there's no room for us to get wrapped up in them too. And I don't want to."

Parvati nodded, coming off the subject. "So what are your plans for the night? Are you going back with Roger? Or to your own place?"

She was still sort of dreading going back home after this rare occurrence of freedom.

Lavender chewed her bottom lip in thought. She hadn't really thought of that.

"I'm not sure...if I ever find him, maybe his place?" she said, completely unsure of what the actual plan was. Maybe after tonight he'd stop walking on egg shells around her.

"But if you want to take over my room tonight, you know that you can."

Parvati nodded, as always grateful to Lavender.

"I did leave a note saying I was at your house, just for emergencies. Thanks Lavie."

Just then a really fun song by the Witchy WaWas came on, and Parvati let out a squeal. "I love this song! C'mon let's dance!" She searched around the huge place, but finally laid eyes on a dance floor. She grabbed Lavender's hand and guided her to it.

"I better now break my ankle!" she joked, heading off to the dance floor with Parvati. Lavender needed to get more used heels.

Regardless, once they found their spot on the floor Lavender let her body move to the beat. She may have been awkward but dancing in a large crowd was never a problem for her. She had surpisingly good rhythm.

Parvati was a very seductive dancer, but that was just the nature of her culture. She'd learned to dance from an extremely young age of three, in order to perform at many family events. Especially as a twin, she was expected to perform in perfect synchrony with Padma. Luckily the two of them were naturals.

Gyrating her hips around to the beat, Parvati raised her arms in the air so a bit of her flat stomach peeked out. Despite how hard Parvati worked to keep it flat, she never really showed it off too much.

Lavedner always admired the way that the Patil twins moved. Dancing was such a beautiful movement and the way Parvati did it, she told a story.

Rather, Lavender mostly just bounced around, her blonde hair moving with her. When they had first met, Parvati had showed her a few moves and Lavender had taken to it well. But sometimes it was just too much effort for her.

Parvati didn't have to think about dancing, she just let the rhythm rule her mind and body. She mostly moved with her hips, using her arms as decoration.

One thing P could not do was sing well. But it didn't stop her from belting out the lyrics to every song. She wasn't tone deaf, or anything, but it was more like shouting than singing.

"You always have to upstage me!" she shouted over the music, deciding to show off some of the moves Parvati had taught her more recently.

Lavender ran her fingers through her hair, letting her shirt rise up. Much like Parvati, she hardly ever showed off her stomach or body - not in the way most girls did. But she suddenly felt a sense of empowerment. It helped that Parvati wasn't paying close attention to keep her stomach covered either.

She moved her hips slowly, dipping down and back up again in a seductive manor that was usually extremely foreign to her.

Vati laughed, shaking her head. "Oh please, darling." She wasn't dancing to compete- she was dancing for fun. And that's exactly what she was having. The fast paced beat kept her body moving fluidly, and she couldn't have asked for better music or a better night.
