THIS is my pic of choice.

Crop it 100x100



Duplicate the base and set to screen, opacity 71%



Layer >> New adjustment layer >> Hue/Saturation: up the Saturation to 26 (it depends on your image, of course)



Layer >> New adjustment layer >> Curves
RGB: 1st point 82,76
2nd point 188, 228
Blue: 1st point 73, 50
2nd point 202, 206
Lower the opacity to 68%



Layer >> New adjustment layer >> Brightness/Contrast: +2 and +9



Layer >> New Color Layer >> #3c0000, set to exclusion, opacity 95%



And you're done!
