shalowater   asked me how the get the coloring of some icons from  my last batch
so I've tried to re-do it ^^

from

Program: Photoshop CS2
Translatable: nope, sorry

the base:

by Oxyonensis Art

Crop it 100x100 and stuff.

Duplicate the base 3 times. The first 2 layers must be set to screen, the third on soft light 23%

Selective color layer:
Reds: -100, -1, -4, 0
Yellows: -100, 0, +19, 0
Greens: 56, 0, 57, 19
Neutrals: 0, -4, -19, 0
opacity 18%

another Selective color layer:
Reds: -100, 47, -9, 0
Yellows: -100, 0, 100, 0
Neutrals: 0, 20, 14, 9
lower the opacity to 35%

of course you have to play with the opacities depending on your picture ;)

another Selective Color layer:
Reds: -100, 0, 100, 0
Yellows: 60, -60, -100, 20
Neutrals: 20, 0, -20, -10
Black: 0, 0, 0, +12
lower the opacity to 25%

Fill Color layer: #180000 set to Exclusion 100%

Levels layer: RGB: 18 - 1,10 - 255

Brightness-contrast layer: Brightness: +6 / Contrast +23

Get back to the base and duplicate it. Go to Filter >> Sharpen >> Smart sharpen
Amount: 22%
Radius 20,6 pixels
Remove: lens blur
More accurate is checked
then lower the opacity of this layer at your pleasure. i kept it at 20

and you're done!

this was what I got this time..

hope it was helpful
